I've been fly fishing, and building custom rods for over 20 years. I have been fly tying for over 17 years and have done instruction for Orvis and other groups. I also tie custom flies by request. Prices vary by style
An elegant yet simple pattern for steelhead in cloudy or off color water. Looks a little like a leech in the water, like a wooly bugger with more "class". It can be fished on the swing, or dead drifted if you wish. Start with smaller sizes, like a 6 and then move to larger ones depending on the fish.

Winter Orange (Combs)
A productive and very pretty pattern for the winter steedhead in our larger streams. The marabou pulsates and moves in the water and gives it a little life, while the bright colors bring out aggression in the fish. Swing it slowly through the pockets, and the inside of creek bends especially in high stained water when visibility is limited. Hang on!
